Mohamed Ahmed Kafafi, Executive Chairman
Mr. Mohamed Kafafi is the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of The Egyptian credit Bureau since October 2011, after leaving Banque du Caire, at which he was Vice Chairman for three years.
With over 30 years of expertise in banking and management in Egypt, North America and Arab countries, he is also President of the Egyptian Company for Credit Inquiry and the Egyptian Company for the Development of Billing Services, as well as a board member of Misr-Bank Europe based in Germany, Egypt Lebanon Bank, the Egyptian Banks Company for Technology Solutions and Cairo International Bank Kampala, Uganda.
From 2005-2008, Mr. Kafafi held the position of Deputy Chairman and Executive Board Member in Banque du Caire and Banque Misr. Prior to holding those positions, he was the CEO of Banque Misr Exterior Cairo, Regional Manager of North and West Africa for Barclays Bank Egypt, General Manager of Egyptian American Bank, and Deputy Chairman of Capital and Banking Markets for Citibank Canada. Mr. Kafafi earned his B.S. in Accounting from the Faculty of Commerce, Cairo University.
Mohamed Refaat, Managing Director
Appointed in 2005 to establish Egypt's First Private Credit Bureau, Mr. Refaat in his capacity as Managing Director has achieved an exceptional task.
As part of the Government of Egypt long term plan to reform the financial sector, The Central Bank of Egypt issued the rules and regulations governing the operations of Credit Bureaus in Egypt in January 2006 and licensed The Egyptian Credit Bureau "I-Score" s.a.e for operations in January 22nd, 2008.
This short period, of 2.5 years, was recognized by the World Bank and The IFC and highlighted in IFC Credit Bureau Knowledge Guide in "Jan-2007" quoting "The first credit bureau in Egypt, which demonstrates how a private credit bureau can be set up in a relatively short time when all stakeholder interests are aligned and the project has backing of the authorities"
Mr. Refaat was entrusted with this national project after a broad career in the Egyptian Banking Sector in both the IT and Strategic Management which spanned locally and internationally for more than 30 years.
Mr. Refaat believes that there shall always be availability for more improvements within The Egyptian Credit Bureau "I-Score" and has long term plans for various projects which shall provide even more confidence and trust for a transparent, competitive and dynamic economy which has the capacity to meet the growing needs of the Egyptian people.
In his previous capacity as General Manager, Strategic Planning for the Commercial International Bank (CIB), Mr. Refaat played a major role in research, study and ultimately participated in the founding of Gyronil a major player in the Automated Bill Processing Systems, as well as restructuring CIB IT System according to the best practices which led to Standard & Poor's recognition as The Best IT Systems in Egypt" during his service as General Manager of IT in CIB.
Mr. Refaat, holding a MBA in MIS and a BA in Accounting, is recognized as one of the leading IT Experts in the field and participates as advisor to establishing and restructuring of many IT systems in major banking and non-banking projects as well as his professional participation in various local and international conferences.
Wael Sakr, Chief Information Officer
Appointed in 2006 to establish the IT Department and Data Center for Egypt’s First Private Credit Bureau, Mr. Sakr accomplished a proven record building a new company division.

Mr. Sakr was chosen for this national project after a broad career in multinational companies in both IT and Strategic Management field locally and internationally for more than 30 years.
During Mr. Sakr’s capacity with I-score, he lead and implemented I-Score’s IT strategy to ensure that it aligns with the business objectives of the organization. Managing I-Score’s technology infrastructure and developing and stabilizing the data center was very critical during that period. Implemented the I-Score Disaster Recover Site and the New System Management. Also Mr. Sakr is responsible for getting the ISO 27001 and Risk assessment certificate.
In his previous capacity as General Manager, Strategic Planning for local organizations, Mr. Sakr has played a major role as an Innovative Operations strategist and proven management leader delivering significant bottom-line enhancements through optimizing efficiency and productivity.
Ahmed Abdel Hameid, Chief Operation Officer
Mr. Abdel Hameid was assigned to run the Company's Operations based on his strong IT business related experience and strong Banking background. The role assigned to Mr. Abdel Hameid was to ensure that the Bureau services are delivered always on time, consistently and are of the highest quality through efficient management of operations and to ensure the timely upload of Data, Quality of Data and providing feedback on time to members on any operational issues.
Mr. Abdel Hameid created and implemented regulations and guidelines on the internal processes to enable efficient functioning of the Bureau's operations. Mr Abdel Hameid evaluated and implemented new Bureau's products as Scoring, Collateral Registry and SME Rating.
Based on his previous experience as the Vice Chairman of the Principal Bank for Development and Agricultural Credit, one of the largest Banks in Egypt and his role in the Bank to establish the bank's automation system among 1200 branches in addition to Bank restructuring.
Mr. Abdel Hameid holds a degree in Accounting and an MBA in MIS.
Sherif Osman, Human Resources and Administration Director
Mr. Osman is the head the Human Resources and Administration Department.
The role assigned to Mr. Osman was to ensure that the Bureau will be provided with the highest technical and ethical calibers in the Egyptian market.
Mr. Osman created and implemented HR standards and guidelines, internal HR policies and procedures to enable efficient functioning of the Bureau's HR and Administration.
In this capacity, Mr. Osman has ensured that the Bureau has become one of the most desired establishments for any person to join, for its highly ethical corporate values and technical backgrounds of its staff.
Mr. Osman was chosen for this role based on his 30 years of diverse experience in leading and managing HR, Administration, Procurement & Operations departments in leading establishments.
Mr. Osman holds a degree in Managerial and Cooperative Studies and extensive training in HR & Managerial post-graduate degrees.
Ahmad El-Okdah, Director of Business Development
Mr. El-Okdah has more than 20 years of IT, Marketing, International Business and Business Development Experience.
Mr. El-Okdah holds B. Sc. In Electrical Engineering, Ain Shams University, he has a Graduate Diploma in Management from AUC and MBA in Marketing and International Business from AUC.
In November 1999, Mr. El-Okdah received the Project Management Professional (PMP) certificate (The first Electrical / Electronic Engineer to receive this certificate in the ME Region) from the Project Manager's Institute (PMI) in the USA.
Before joining I-Score, Mr. El-Okdah worked for Vodafone Egypt from 2001 to 2008 in different capacities; some of which were Strategy Senior Manager and Development Manager in Value Added Services (VAS).
Mr. El Okdah's first job was in IBM Egypt, he worked there for more than 10 years. During his presence in IBM he was the Project Manager for large Government / Petroleum Projects as one of the Systems Integration & Solutions Function members part of IBM Global Professional & Technical Services. He was also the Associate Systems Engineer in Application Products Development Center (part of the Egypt / Middle East Arabic Competence Center).
